PGL Announces Qualifiers for PGL Bucharest 2025!

PGL has announced the qualifiers for PGL Bucharest 2025, a major Counter-Strike 2 tournament with a prize pool of $1.25M. The event will take place from April 5-13 in Bucharest, Romania.

Format of the qualifiers:
A total of 16 teams will compete in PGL Bucharest 2025:

  • 12 teams will receive invites based on the Valve ranking
  • 4 teams will qualify through regional qualifiers

Regional qualifiers will be held for Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. Each region will begin with open qualifiers, where the top 8 teams will advance to the closed stage. The number of teams advancing could change depending on direct invites.

Qualifier schedule:

Open Qualifiers:

  • First: February 14-15
  • Second: February 16-17
  • Third: February 20-21
  • Fourth: February 22-23

Closed Qualifiers:

  • Europe, North & South America:
    • Round #1: February 28 – March 3
    • Round #2: March 7-8
  • Asia:
    • Round #1: February 24-27
    • Round #2: March 6-9

For many teams, these qualifiers will be the only chance to earn a spot at one of the biggest tournaments of the year. PGL Bucharest 2025 is expected to be one of the most significant CS2 events, and top teams are already preparing.
