Who took the last tickets to BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024? Results of BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024
The end of franchise leagues in Counter-Strike 2 is getting closer and closer. One of these last tournaments will be BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024, as well as BLAST Premier: World Final 2024, ESL Pro League Season 20 and IEM Rio 2024. Soon, all tournament operators will switch to an invitation-only system based on the team ratings from Valve, but for now we can still enjoy championships in which only teams that have entered into partnership agreements with the tournament organizers can participate.
BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024 will be held from September 25 to 29, and the prize pool will be $425,000. Six teams qualified for the championship from BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024: Team Vitality, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, Team Spirit, Team Liquid and Astralis. The last two slots were traditionally played out by BLAST in Showdown, with tickets going to FaZe Clan and Falcons. In this article, we will discuss the past BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024 and the teams that qualified for the Fall Final.
FaZe Clan – OK?
The biggest question before the start of BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024 was about FaZe Clan. The team was the main favorite, but judging by their recent performances, they could fail even in this situation. However, the team had no problems. In three matches, the team gave up only one map against paiN, and they managed to win dry against Rare Atom and OG. However, these are not the strongest opponents and it is too early to talk about the return of FaZe Clan’s former form. Only BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024 itself will show the current state of the team.
New heights for Falcons
Since the announcement of the current roster, the Falcons have not been able to achieve significant results, but recently the team has become more and more like a tier-1 team. On their way through BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024, Falcons dealt with M80, Complexity and Virtus.pro. The team, like FaZe Clan, lost their only map in the quarterfinals against Complexity. It will be interesting to follow the team at the last tournaments with the current roster, because Nikola NiKo Kovac from G2 Esports will join them in January 2025.
Another failure of Virtus.pro
The only hope for the current Virtus.pro roster was to qualify for BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024. This would allow them to at least slightly rehabilitate themselves for the recent disastrous results, but even BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024 turned out to be an impossible task for VP. The team barely beat the outsiders in the person of Zero Tenacity, and even bigger problems awaited them in the match with BIG. Nevertheless, they reached the match for the slot, but there they were no longer able to oppose the Falcons. If the team shows the same bad results at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Season 2 and ESL Pro League Season 20, this roster may not even survive until the upcoming Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.
What happened to HEROIC?
Another team that disappointed at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024 was HEROIC. The team left the tournament immediately after the first match, and before the start they were one of the main favorites for the slot. It is worth noting that HEROIC’s opponent was not the most difficult, OG has not been seen on the big stage for a long time and is experiencing big problems even in building a competitive roster, but the roster of Abdul degster Gasanov could not win at least one map against them. It is not yet clear what caused HEROIC’s failure and we need to watch the team at future tournaments, but perhaps the team is tired of the constant problems with the sniper’s visa and the constant need to start championships with stand-ins. HEROIC needs a reboot, and if it doesn’t help, it will lead to new reshuffles and Abdul degster Gasanov is unlikely to remain in the roster.
The teams that went through BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024 will clearly be able to compete with the teams from Fall Groups and it will be interesting to watch them. FaZe Clan are trying to get back into shape, and such a big tournament can be a good support for this goal, and Falcons are gradually gaining confidence in championships and have a chance to get far.
