What Do CS2 Stickers Hide? Secrets, Easter Eggs, and References. Part 2.
Sticker designers have become more meticulous in their work, and their creations are no longer just pretty pictures that can be applied to weapons. Through stickers, they communicate with the game’s audience and convey various messages. Most of these messages and references are hidden beneath the main layer of the sticker, and to discover them, you need to scrape the sticker several times. The best part is that you get an entirely new sticker, possibly with a completely different meaning. Many users are unaware of these hidden aspects, so today we will reveal more secrets from the creators of Counter-Strike stickers.
Sticker | Agent Select — $0.07
This sticker is designed in the style of a character selection menu from old 8-bit fighting games. The idea itself is quite original, but the creator decided to hide a little surprise for curious users. When you attempt to remove the sticker from your weapon, instead of disappearing pieces, drawings made with a black pen or pencil start to appear. Apparently, the designer was fond of doodling on everything in his childhood, which eventually led to his career choice.
Sticker | Choose Wisely — $0.17
The rock/paper/scissors game is known worldwide and has always helped resolve many trivial but crucial questions. The confrontation between counter-terrorists and terrorists is a key plot of the game, and the creator suggests determining the winner not on the map but with this well-known game. On the main layer, the attacking side wins, but beneath it is a drawing where the scissors turn into pliers, and the rock into a bomb. So who wins now? You’ll have to find out on the server!
Sticker | Magic Rush Ball (Lenticular) — $24.85
In the capsule dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Counter-Strike, new stickers with a Lenticular quality appeared. If you haven’t seen them, be sure to check out this interesting mechanic in the game. The main feature of this sticker lies in the hidden elements that can be discovered by rotating the sticker and finding them. This design is styled after the Magic 8-Ball, which knows the answer to any question you ask. Can’t decide which bombsite to attack? Attach the sticker to your weapon and move your crosshair until the answer appears. Struggling with whether to buy gear or save money for the next round? Scrape part of the sticker, and the ball will help you with this choice. Don’t be too quick to completely remove the sticker if the advice doesn’t help – $25 is still $25.
Sticker | 360 No Scope — $0.04
Who hasn’t tried to replicate s1mple’s legendary moment on Cache? Even before that, many players attempted to pull off a 360-degree no-scope kill while jumping. In the community, these moves are known as “360 No Scope.” This sticker is dedicated to such shots. Developers have already added icons for kills through walls, smoke, and without scopes – maybe this one should be added too? The worn version of this sticker looks even more interesting, so stick it on your AWP and impress everyone on the server.
Sticker | Salty (Holo) — $1.57
Every gamer has felt at least once that they single-handedly carried a game or, in other words, “solo,” “salted.” A salt shaker often symbolizes these phrases, but the creator left an opposite Easter egg if winning solo didn’t happen.
Sticker | Friend Code — $0.09
This sticker is dedicated to those who don’t like carrying the bomb and constantly drop it. The bomb helps the attacking side win rounds, so it wants more respect. C4 is your loyal friend, so treat it accordingly and don’t upset this cute explosive. Even as a sticker, it tearfully asks not to be scraped off but to stay on the weapon.
Sticker | Cbbl (Holo) — $1.27
One of the favorite maps among casual and professional players. Many epic matches have been played on it, and everyone dreamed of getting a souvenir package from Cobblestone and unboxing a Dragon Lore. The sticker was added to the game when the map was long gone from the competitive map pool, still filled with nostalgic feelings for the castle and its surroundings. The skin creator went further and decided to touch the feelings of CS 1.6 players with one sticker. Under the second layer are textures from the popular map Aztec. Nostalgia overload.
Sticker | Leaving The Station (Holo) — $7.73
The designers didn’t stop at Cobblestone and Aztec, making us nostalgic for another Counter-Strike legend. The map Train was removed three years ago, but not a day goes by without the desire to revisit the familiar station and hide behind one of the trains. Remember that roof on the outside in earlier versions of the map? Despite its rather high price, the worn version with the appearance of rails, the Train sign, and the game icon is worth these warm memories. VALVE, bring back Train!
Sticker | PAC AI — $0.58
A cool sticker that fits perfectly with dark skins and horror movie themes. Another example where the worn design doesn’t spoil the look but rather enhances it and adds more meaning. The phrase “we see the hidden truth” is a great reference not only to a gripping thriller but also explicitly shows how uniquely the sticker mechanic works.
Sticker | Blue Gem (Glitter) — $4.37
This name is also given to items with the Case Hardened skin. These are versions where blue dominates, making them the most expensive in the game. There are several patterns close to the Blue Gem version, but only pattern number 661 can proudly bear this title. Blue Gem skins are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and an AK-47 was sold for a record $1,000,000.
