Top 10 Best Counter-Strike 2 Teams for August 2024. Part 1: 6-10 Place
The second half of the competitive Counter-Strike 2 season in 2024 is already in full swing. Very soon we will be expecting the RMR qualifiers for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, which means that it is time to determine the top 10 teams that are aiming for a direct entry to RMR, so as not to wade through closed qualifiers, in which anything can happen. At the moment, there are three objective team ratings: HLTV, Valve and ESL. The table from the CS2 developers will be used to issue invites, but so far it is not entirely objective, it still contains several teams that no longer exist. Therefore, for now it is worth relying on the HLTV rating and hoping that Valve will put their own table in order before issuing slots for RMR. In this article, which will consist of two parts, we will discuss the ten best Counter-Strike 2 teams at the moment. In the first part, we will look at the teams that occupy 6th to 10th place.
10th place – The Mongolz

It’s surprising to see an Asian team in the top 10 in Counter-Strike 2 in 2024, but The Mongolz deserve to be here. The team has come a long way from the tier-2 stage to compete on equal terms with European teams. Even if they don’t always succeed, they have already shown decent performances at some major tournaments. The victory at YaLLa Compass 2024 was a real breakthrough for the Asian scene and it is surprising that the new best team in this region was the Mongols, and not the Chinese. It will be interesting to follow The Mongolz at future tournaments, but the team is definitely not the main outsider as it was before.
9th place – HEROIC

After the changes in the HEROIC lineup, it was hard to believe that the team would return to the tier-1 stage, but the team made a risky transfer and acquired a stable and promising sniper in the person of Abdul degster Gasanov, who had not performed on the professional stage for about a year. At past tournaments, the player has proven that he is still one of the strongest snipers in the world, but he often experiences problems with visas, which forces the team to play with replacements. If degster can resolve this issue, HEROIC could end up even higher than they currently are.
8th place – Astralis
Team roster: Nicolai device Reedtz, Victor Staehr Staehr, Jakob Jabbi Nygaard, Martin stavn Lund, Alexander br0 Bro.

Astralis acquired Martin stavn Lund and Jacob Jabbi Nygaard from HEROIC for a huge amount and clearly expected better results, but so far all the Danes can boast of is 3-4 places at the largest championships. The team has not yet managed to climb higher, but it is still one of the strongest in the world and can sometimes beat the main favorites. Nicolai device Reedtz feels good in the role of captain and Astralis show decent performances for the first time in several years. Perhaps after a while the team will finally be able to achieve victory at one of the championships, but for now this squad is still a permanent participant in the playoffs, which does not get further than the semifinals.
7th place – Virtus.pro
Team roster: Evgenii FL1T Lebedev, David n0rb3r7 Danielyan, Dzhami Jame Ali, Petr fame Bolyshev, Denis electroNic Sharipov.

Virtus.pro was clearly tired of being a lagging team, so at the beginning of this year the club decided to strengthen its roster. Denis electroNic Sharipov joined the team, leaving the sinking ship Cloud9. At first, it was difficult for the player to fit into the team led by Dzhami Jame Ali; this style of play was unusual for him and he felt uncomfortable. However, after several tournaments, Virtus.pro were still able to prove that they are now one of the strongest teams in the world and are ready to fight the favorites on equal terms.
6th place – FaZe Clan
Team roster: Hovard rain Nygaard, Helvijs broky Saukants, Finn karrigan Andersen, Robin ropz Kool, David frozen Cernyansky.

FaZe Clan are sliding lower and lower in this rating. For a long time this team was top 1 in the world and made it to all the grand finals, but now it is content with only reaching the quarterfinals. The team was very tired and burned out during the first half of the season and it is not a fact that they will be able to return to their positions without changes in the lineup. Sixth place for FaZe Clan is a very low result and it definitely does not suit the players. It is unlikely that this situation will be corrected without reshuffles, so the team will most likely finish out the last tournaments together.
