Pick’em for the playoffs of PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen. Community picks.

pickem

This Sunday (March 31st), we will find out the team that will go down in history as the first winner of the CS2 Major. In the Pick’em Challenge, users need to guess this champion, as well as make accurate predictions for the two semi-finalists. The playoffs stage in Copenhagen has become the most competitive in the history of Counter-Strike. Seven out of eight teams are in the top 7 of the HLTV rankings, and only Eternal Fire made it to the final stage from the 12th position. Unlike the Opening Stage, the main group stage brought almost no surprises. Guessing the winner among all playoff participants seems like an impossible task. Because of this, most players and analysts make their choices based on personal preferences and gut feelings.

PIMP

PIMP

The former pro player and analyst believes in Team Spirit’s victory at the current event. He chose his arguments quite simply – all the players are in excellent individual form and are “on a roll” after a series of many victories. He is absolutely unbothered by the youth and inexperience of this roster. On the contrary, he believes that the victory of such young players at the first CS2 Major will symbolize the beginning of a new era in Counter-Strike history. In the first round, he expressed uncertainty about Cloud9 due to the absence of a sniper. In his opinion, the Russian team is capable of dealing with some teams, but against the best sniper in the world – ZywOo, they will have a very hard time. PIMP also bet on G2 to win against MOUZ. This choice will certainly not be one of the most popular, but it is not without common sense. The Western analyst remembered that the young MOUZ lineup has yet to show good performance on big stages.

The Canadian commentator made one of the most unpredictable Pick’em choices. He believes in Cloud9’s victory and thinks that playing with five riflers does not ruin the team’s unique style. The semifinal of his prediction implies an CIS derby, and this became the deciding factor in picking Cloud9 over Team Spirit. The young Dragon squad has little experience on the stage, and the opponent’s lineup consists of the region’s best players. Four Major winners cannot lose to a 17-year-old teenager, even if he’s as talented as donk.

STYKO

STYKO

The semifinalist from the previous Major in Paris has already been eliminated from the current event and is forced to watch the tournament’s progress from behind a monitor screen. Apeks player also favored BoomIb4’s team but believes that Chopper’s wards will make it to the final. According to STYKO, Team Spirit will not feel the pressure from opponents’ authority, and the spectators will support the young talent.

Lobanjica

Relying on this joker’s opinion is always quite challenging. It’s hard to tell when he’s serious and when he’s being ironic. His Pick’em for the Opening Stage looked ironic, and it seemed like he just decided to joke around and approach this challenge with humor. But as we can see from the screenshot, his choices for the two previous stages turned out to be correct, and he confidently moves towards the diamond reward. The streamer made a similar choice to STYKO, and his arguments are quite similar for all matches. “donk is crazy”

Get Right

The legend of NIP and the entire Swedish CS scene is watching the events in Copenhagen in a completely different light. The former pro player has put Vitality as the winners and believes that this team should win not only because of ZywOo but also because of the experienced apEX. According to him, the winners of the last CS:GO Major will first meet a team without a prominently expressed sniper. In the semifinals and finals, they will secure their victory through macro play, and sharpshooting won’t be able to help the young teams. It’s said that the French sniper has already recovered from illness and is 100% ready for the final matches. If this is indeed the case, then this Pick’em has a chance. However, Vitality’s results in the Elimination Stage left many questions.

Raiz

Raiz

The most famous blogger from Russia for some reason doesn’t believe in his compatriots at all. In his prediction, he didn’t bet on any team with players from the CIS. The most surprising choice is in favor of FaZe Clan, who barely made it to the playoffs. But the explanation for this decision also makes sense. The home arena will strongly support karrigan, and this player knows how to draw energy from the crowd. He will be able to pass on a lot of energy to his teammates, which should motivate them and influence the outcome of the match. It’s not very clear why these arguments didn’t convince Raiz to pick FaZe as the tournament winners. Perhaps only the first appearance at the Royal Arena will have such a magical effect.

Overdrive

It’s no secret to anyone that one of the main insiders and scouts from the CIS is part of the Team Spirit structure. He was involved in forming the current lineup, and most importantly, he found the young donk. It’s not surprising that his Pick’em looks like this, but it’s quite difficult to call this choice biased.

Gabe Follower

Gabe Follower

From the main scout to the main insider. This guy digs into the game files for various news so much that there’s no certainty whether he has time to watch matches. There’s a feeling that he made his Pick’em based on tags rather than the current form of the teams, but this theory collapses with the choice in favor of Eternal Fire. Gabe Follower is one of the few who not only bet on FaZe to advance but also believed in G2’s victory over MOUZ.

Shoke

Shoke

At first glance, this is the most ordinary and unappealing choice. The final MOUZ vs Team Spirit seems to be the most likely outcome. But Eric put NAVI to advance to the semifinals of the tournament. In his opinion, the Turks have already gone very far, and their chaotic CS will be shattered by Blade and Aleksib’s structured approach.

If Shoke doesn’t believe in the victory of the Turks, then the official ESL Twitter expressed special support and wrote in their profile that they will root for them until the end of the tournament. This is the most interesting and insane outcome of this playoff, which will be a real sensation. Majors haven’t seen a champion as a “dark horse” for a long time, so Eternal Fire can count on the “magic” of Valve tournaments and break all our Pick’ems.

The Major playoffs will take place from March 28th to March 31st. Pick’em will be updated as the tournament progresses, and we will be able to understand how close each of them is to the diamond medal of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen.
