Kylar Departs ENCE – Team Undergoes Roster Reshuffle
Finnish esports organization ENCE has announced the departure of Polish player Kacper “Kylar” Walukiewicz by mutual agreement, concluding his 16-month tenure with the team.
Background and Tenure with ENCE
Kylar gained recognition as part of the 9INE roster that ascended into the top 20 global rankings in 2023, following notable performances in online tournaments and qualification for the BLAST.tv Paris Major. In late 2023, he transitioned to ENCE alongside the 9INE core lineup. Under ENCE, Kylar contributed to the team’s playoff run at IEM Katowice 2024 and their qualification for the PGL Major Copenhagen.
Performance Decline and Roster Changes
Despite a promising start, ENCE experienced a downturn in results, failing to qualify for the Europe RMR for the Perfect World Shanghai Major. This led to significant roster changes in October 2024, including Kylar’s benching and the addition of Ryan “Neityu” Aubry and Kacper “xKacpersky” Gabara.
Official Statements
Niklas “Willkey” Ojalainen, ENCE’s General Manager, expressed gratitude for Kylar’s contributions:
“First of all, I want to thank Kylar for this time with us. Kylar has great potential, which he showed at the beginning of the year. Kylar can be a really good player in the right environment, and I hope he can soon find a team that suits his skill set.”
Current ENCE Roster
Following Kylar’s departure, ENCE’s active roster consists of:
- Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander
- Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev
- Paavo “podi” Heiskanen
- Ryan “Neityu” Aubry
- Kacper “xKacpersky” Gabara
- Coach: Niclas “enkay J” Krumhorn
ENCE continues to focus on rebuilding and improving team performance in upcoming competitions.
