In the latest major update, Valve added the first community maps to CS2. A new operation did not come with them, as many would have liked, but, nevertheless, this is already some new content in a game that rarely receives major updates. The CS2 competitive map pool included two of the five maps: Thera and Mills. In this material we will tell you everything you need to know about the new creation of FMPONE. We have prepared the most important grenade distributions on Thera for you.
It is worth noting that this card has already appeared in CS:GO, but in a slightly different guise. Thera is a remake of the Santorini location that was released along with Operation Wildfire in 2016. Even in the previous version of the shooter, the map was liked by many gamers and its return to CS2 was only a matter of time. Thera is the first contender to be added to the official map pool. FMPONE has already made his mark with the creation of Cache, which means that he has the best chance of having another of his maps appear in all tournaments. Thera may well replace the boring Mirage or broken Vertigo.
Defense side
For the CT side you only need to know two smokes. The first of them blocks the terrorists’ passage to the center of the map. In order to throw this grenade, you need to stand at the edge of the wall next to the pharmacy sign and aim at the blue roof of the building between two spikes. The throw is performed while jumping.
The second smoke is also given with the respawn CT. You need to stand against the wall opposite the pharmacy and aim at the upper left corner of the window. After this, you need to throw a grenade while jumping. This smoke will close one of the terrorists’ exits to point A.
Also, to protect point A, you can throw an incendiary grenade into the underground passage from the site itself. To do this, you need to stand on the steps on the bridge and aim at the window of one of the houses. To throw, you need to make a short run and release the grenade at the moment when you are at the top of the stairs.
Attack side
On the terrorist side, Thera has a wide variety of smokes. Right from respawn, you can close the doors at point B with smoke. To do this, you need to stand at the railing on the left side and aim at the top of the building. After that, perform a jump throw.
You can also smoke the stairs at point B. To do this, you need to stand against the wall opposite the graffiti and aim at the center of the lips of one of the creatures. The throw is performed while jumping.
The last smoke to point B is given from the same point as the last one, but you already need to aim at the letter Y in the word Victory. The throw is performed while jumping and holding the left and right mouse buttons.
Smoke throws himself out of the window in mid from respawn. To do this, you need to stand at the left edge of the railing and aim at the roof of the building and raise the sight a little higher. Next, you need to take a short step forward and release the grenade while jumping.
The smoke at the connector at point A is given from the same point, but you need to aim at the lower edge of the top of the roof and release the grenade while jumping.
When reaching point A, you can simplify your task by smoking in a zigzag. You need to stand near a tree on the stairs and throw a smoke, aiming at the left tip of the foliage.
To close the window in the room with the piano with a smoke, you need to stand at the lamppost next to the flower pot, aim above the blue door and perform a crouch throw.
The last smoke that will be useful to you when playing as an attack is thrown from the same position. A smoke grenade will block the CT passage. You need to aim at the top of the fence and throw smoke while jumping.
